Audition Materials and Application Process

Auditions are now open for 2011 WMEA High School All-State and MENC All-Northwest Honor Groups.

Take the following three steps and you should be able to complete the application/audition process.

Download the Official Application Packets (links are above) and read them completely

Download the Honor Group Policy for Pricing, Refunds and Payment.

Record the auditions (instructions are in the application packets)

Go online to WMEA Members Only, find the appropriate application area, and follow the instructions to apply and upload the sound files.

Please note that this year the audition fees must be paid by credit card only. You will not be able to upload audition files until this is paid. If you need to make an alternative arrangement for payment, contact bruceg@wmea.org well prior to the application/upload closing date.

WMEA serves band, choir, orchestra and jazz students in grades 9-12 through annual All-State groups. Students audition for the opportunity to perform with the best high school musicians in the state under the baton of a nationally-renowned director.

In addition, MENC sponsors All-Northwest groups every other year, providing opportunities for students from six northwest states.

Audition packets will be posted late summer each year. Student auditions occur every fall.
